Sausage making day at Edfords will give you the opportunity to learn how to make your own sausages whenever you like and whatever flavours you choose.

On the day we’ll be using the pork from either our Large Black Pigs or our Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs but there is no need to stop there when it comes to a good quality sausage  and we will look at other options as well as good combinations which can be used. The meat available on the day will certainly vary and other than pork could include Lamb, Goat, Beef and depending on the season could also include game.

Product Description

We will choose flavours as a group and try to make as many varieties as we can using produce from our vegetable gardens and our herb garden where possible as well as other locally sourced produce.

We want you to put flavours together which you think may work but to give you an idea some of the sausages we have made during these workshops include pork with caramelised red onion, Pork sage and Apple, cooking chorizo, pork, venison and rosemary and many others.

The day will include a tour of the farm and lunch, id suggest we’ll probably have sausages! We should have enough time to make everyone’s flavour combination and everyone will leave with enough sausages to take home and cook for your friends and family as well as a new skill and hopefully this won’t be the only time you invent your own sausage recipe.

The Course will start at 10am until 4pm, everything needed for the course is provided.

£60 per person, group bookings are available at discounted rates.
